| Business Description Special Offer: Free Boxing Class The Boxout Centre sits across from North Sydney Football oval within the PCYC. With it's ageing and tattered fight posters, original Boxing ring and hanging leather punch bags it's a long way from a trendy gym. But that's why people have been coming to our classes for eleven years. Still run by its original founder, Patrick Moore, the people who train here are more into fitness than fashion. Of the 200 people we train each week, around 70% are women. Not only are they getting fitter, stronger and leaner they are learning to throw an awesome punch. Patrick Moore calls it "the art of the punch." Patrick Moore Author, pro-boxing trainer, black belt and creator of the original Boxout Workouts, over the last decade Patrick’s classes have trained tens of thousands of people to get fighting fit - from kids and seniors through to elite athletes and celebrities. His workouts and programs have appeared on The Today Show, Today Tonight, ABC’s Health Dimensions with George Negus, The Mind Body Spirit festival, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Sun Herald, Body + Soul, BRW, 2GB, 2UE, Triple J and many lifestyle magazines. The Boxout Centre has a fantastic range of classes to suit any and every level of fitness - TRY BOXING™ Intro Special, THE SUPER CIRCUIT™, BOXER TEN and TWELVE ROUNDERS, KICKSTART INTRO (women) - Find out more FAQ's How do I get started? Easy, just enrol in the TryBoxing Intro Special or one of our other start up specials. Is it good for fitness? It’s the best!! You’ll work the three Ss of fitness – strength, suppleness and stamina - so you’ll get a balanced and empowering workout. Will I lose weight? Boxing-Fitness workouts burn more calories than just about any other workout. What about toning up? The classes have a special toning section for the last 5 minutes of class where we focus on all those problem areas. Ablitz to trim and shape the abdominals, Kicktone, which tones the legs. I’m not very fit. Will I be able to keep up? The classes are for all levels. It’s a good idea to get a medical check up before starting this or any other fitness program. Will anybody punch or kick me? The classes don’t have any sparring – we’re there to get fit, not hit! What do I wear? Normal gym gear, shorts, tights, tracksuits or anything you like. It’s not a flashy gym, so you don't need to dress up! Do I need to bring anything? All equipment is supplied, and you get your own gloves to keep when you do the TryBoxing Intro.
